Fatal Fury Special is an enhanced version of SNK’s two-dimensional one-on-one fighter Fatal Fury 2. The goal is to win the tournament by defeating the other soldiers, including the final boss, Wolfgang Krauser. Fatal Fury Special offers a relatively extensive roster of fighters, including Terry Bogard, Andy Bogard, Joe Higashi, Kim Kaphwan, Jubei Yamada, Cheng Sinzan, Mai Shiranui, and Big Bear are the eight regular fighters from Fatal Fury 2. The four Fatal Fury 2 bosses: Billy Kane, Axel Hawk, Lawrence Blood, and Wolfgang Krauser (this time, they’re all playable right away).* Three characters from the first Fatal Fury: Duck King, Tung Fu Rue, and Geese Howard (the Fatal Fury’s final boss).
A new Count Down mode (destroy as many opponents as possible in 3 minutes) is also includedāadditional color palettes for each character. Background graphics have been updated and improvedāsupport for Dolby Surround Sound.
Fatal Fury Special retains the series’ signature pseudo-3D mobility along two planes.
