As a delivery pilot for the Acme Interstellar Transport Company, you are dispatched to far-flung worlds to transport rocket ship kits to planets all across the cosmos. While traveling through space, you take advantage of the circumstance by taking as much riches as possible on each planet. Blast any hostile inhabitants in your path, then jet off to the next world and repeat the process!
Jetpac Refuelled combines two games into one. The first is the original Sinclair Spectrum Jetpac. In this game, you must build a rocket ship by guiding Jetman to two more ship pieces and dragging them back to the ship’s base. Grab six fuel packs to fill the rocket with gasoline, then hop inside and blast off to the next planet to refill your built ship. As you complete this mission, numerous aliens attempt to murder you; fire them with your trusty laser. You can also dodge them by thrusting with your jetpack.
Refuelled improves on the original Jetpac’s addicting gameplay while adding fresh graphics and sound. Your laser becomes upgradeable: in addition to the standard shot, you may receive a double image that fires straight up and forward and a spread photo that shoots three ways before you. Collecting a laser power-up after the spread hit enhances the power of your laser and re-starts you with the initial laser. When you’re in a pinch, you can also acquire EMP Bombs to clean the screen of all enemies.
