Description

FB Neo (a.k.a. FinalBurn Neo) is an open source emulator for arcade games and select consoles that is more focused on playability. It is the follow-up of FinalBurn and FinalBurn Alpha emulators.

This is a complete ROM collection for FB Neo version 1.0.0.03 debug nightly build.

This emulator is lighter than MAME on resources, which is specially useful for low powered systems such as the Raspberry Pi.

Guides

Here’s how to use FBNeo (FinalBurn Neo) with your ROM files:

Download and Install FBNeo:

Get FBNeo from the official site or a trusted source (e.g., GitHub).
Extract the files to a folder (e.g., C:\FBNeo).

Prepare ROMs:

Ensure ROMs are in .zip format (FBNeo doesn’t support .7z or others).
Place ROMs in the roms folder inside the FBNeo directory (e.g., C:\FBNeo\roms). Create the folder if it doesn’t exist.

Configure FBNeo:

Open FBNeo, go to Game > Load Game.
FBNeo will scan the roms folder and list compatible games.
If ROMs don’t show up, check:
Are the ROMs compatible with FBNeo’s ROMset?
Does the fbneo.dat file in the FBNeo folder match your ROMset?

Play Games:

Select a game from the list and press Enter to start.
Default controls:
Insert: Insert coin.
Enter: Start game.
Arrow keys: Move.
Ctrl, Alt, Shift: Action buttons (customize in Input > Configure Inputs).

Customize (if needed):

Adjust resolution or filters in Options > Video Options.
Save settings in Options > Save Configuration.
