The ISO for 3DO MK2 Release Candidate 5.01 is now available. This is a public BETA.
To confirm a few things:
– This is still very much a BETA. As of now the latest version is 5.01 as shown on the Start Menu screen. I will continue to drop fixes
– The IP to Mortal Kombat is owned by MK / Netherrealm. This is a not-for-profit fan project for a 30 year old console that never received a port
– There will be bugs. I will fix them as I find them (or as you report them)
– If you play with a CD there may be slight audio skips when backgrounds change in the intro and ending
– There are NO fighter specific fatalities in this version
– Shang Tsung can only morph into the opponent
– Soon I will begin working on the “complete” version which will include fatalities, babalities, friendships, and Shang Tsung morphing into anyone
This is a work in progress and will continue to improve. Again.. goal is not arcade accuracy, but a good port for the 3DO which never received one but deserved one.
