Mario Golf: Advance Tour

Neil and Ella are students at the World Golf Academy. During the summer vacation, they joined a Club at Marion Country to look for new experiences. They were drawn by Mario into a championship tournament there. The only way to return home is to defeat the opponents to win the Gold Cup.

In story mode, “MARIO GOLF – ADVANCE TOUR” takes the style of a full RPG game. You will play as one of the two main characters, Neil or Ella, interacting with other NPCs, to find information. There are two main features to experience in this mode, including tournament and skill training. The tournament is organized into small stages, in which you need to score and win through golf matches. As for training, it will mainly exploit players’ control skills, through instructions from conversations with experts.

As introduced, in the RPG genre, the character element will play an important role. They have integrated a system of indicators, for accuracy and specialized techniques. In the course of performing missions as well as winning matches, players can gain experience points to level up and increase characters’ abilities. This is essential because the opponents will be much better later, obviously. Sometimes, it will take many replays to pass the level.
Regarding the rules of the game, if you’ve ever experienced this sport in real life, then it will not be strange anymore. All you need to do is to hit the golf ball to the area where the red flagpole is located. Afterward, the flag is automatically drawn, continuing the turn to bring the ball into the hole. If players succeed, points will be added automatically.
After the whole process, gamers who are ranked at the bottom of the table will be disqualified.
More broadly, the default club built into the story is not the only, but there are also others: Marion, Palms Club, Dunes, and Links Club. The scenes in the game are quite familiar, which is inspired by the Mario Action Series.

The connect feature has been built-in by the developer with a maximum of 4 devices. Therefore, you could experience with your friends to compete in multiplayer mode or trade anything that has been achieved before. Neil and Ella are not the only ones who can play. Mario, Peach, Yoshi, and even Donkey Kong are also available from the beginning, while some other characters can be unlocked by using rewarded money, or through a connection to the Toadstool Tour version.
