Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Yoshi have been invited by Toad to join the biggest party at Party World. In here, people can pause all the tired battles to start enjoying good food and entertaining Minigames. Too bad, Bowsew learned that he was not invited, so he became angry and decided to ruin everything. The sky suddenly darkened when Bowser appeared with his subordinate Koopa Kid and ruined all of Toad’s previous preparations. That is what has made the Minigame and Gaddgets scattered everywhere. Now all 4 of Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Yoshi will have to collect them all before the party really starts.

Challenge Land, Party Land, Play Land, and Shroom City are the four playable areas and also is the 4 game modes, designed by the developer, with different gameplay styles and challenges. However, the common purpose is to collect Minigames and Gaddgets. When the game starts, players can choose 1 of the four available characters to take the role. Initially, the system will provide 4 mushrooms, respectively to 4 points of life. Players will move a number of steps to find the location of the Minigame in the area. If, after using all of the available moves but players still cannot find the one, then one mushroom will be deducted as well as a few more moves will be added then. When winning Minigame, players will be rewarded with 1 Gaddgets. And if they pass 3 consecutive Minigames, they will be rewarded with 1 more mushroom. The game will continue until there are no more mushrooms. Til now, Mario Party Advance has more than 120 different Minigames to experience. If you get bored when playing alone, then you should play with your friends via cable connection to have more fun.

In Shroom City mode, it mostly focuses on the scripts and also has the most Minigames. As for Play Land, it has 15 Minigames, focused on earning coins. If players want to have more coins to buy Gaddgets, complete the challenges in this mode to have a chance to get 1,000,000 coins. Party Land is designed as a multiplayer mode. If you want to show your skills, take part in 100-person matches and try to score the highest points to win the top spot on the leaderboard. Finally, Challenge Land is the mode with the highest difficulty. It focuses on exploiting the skills of players, with many unique games in the solo game style.
