Pokémon Super Rising Thunder

Welcome to a world without Pokéballs, Marts, Gyms, or Pokémon Centers. Once bustling cities now lie in moldering ruins, inhabited only by scavenging beasts and forgotten history. Once busy roads are now cracked and overgrown with weeds. The people in your small town talk in whispers about a legend that has been handed down to them over countless generations and describes a series of terrible flashes that destroyed what was once, according to legend, Eden. The villagers claim that the Flashes appeared out of nowhere, vaporized everything in their path, and left a terrible sickness in their wake. Nobody who lived anywhere close to the Flashes perished, including a mysterious race of beings who were rumored to be extraordinarily magical.

You and your sister were born into this world; you were small, defenseless, and innocent; you were warned since you were very young to never leave the remote forest village where your small group of survivors had huddled. Since you were a shy child and didn’t want to tempt fate, you listened, but something still ached inside of you. Was there ever a true Eden on Earth? Did the creatures that could use magic still exist? They existed before; when? What was the truth? The villagers’ responses to these questions conflicted with one another. Was there a better life out there, too?

You experience a mysterious dream in which a great Lord who dwarfs you in size and majesty appears before you and delivers dire news—along with a miraculous gift—after a terrible tragedy sends you into a deep sleep. Although you are young and small, the Lord trusts in your great strength of soul to defeat the evil and perhaps open the way for Eden to begin anew. A terrible evil that could destroy everything that is left of the world is lurking in the far north.
