Wario Land 4

In a random reading of a newspaper, Wario accidentally learned that archaeologists had discovered the legendary golden pyramid in a dense forest. However, a series of explorers after trying to find the treasure inside seemed to had disappeared and did not return. Curious and dreaming of becoming a wealthy man, Wario got in the car and went to the ruins. After a while trying to find a way inside, a black cat appears and it seems to be trying to say something as it leads him to the center of the pyramid. Shortly thereafter, a person claiming to be the Golden Diva appears and reveals the dark plan he is about to bring to the world. At the same time, he finds out that the black cat actually is Princess Shokora – ruler of Ancient Egypt, who was cursed by that devil in a small form.

The scenario of Wario Land 4 is divided into several small levels. The goal is that the player needs to complete in each level is to collect Keyzer and four purple diamond pieces in order to unlock the next part of the script. Besides, try to collect diamonds, and golden bars to become rich. Of course, this job is not easy at all when a bunch of aggressive monsters will appear along the way and constantly attack Wario. With battle skills such as kicking, punching, and jumping, players need to control the character flexibly to avoid damage and defeat the enemy.
With the accumulated bonuses during the battle, players can also buy some more strength, the goal is to damage the boss without having to fight. This is a feature expected in previous versions of the Series. Because, before really facing the last boss – the Golden Diva, players will have to fight against many other bosses whenever 4 purple diamond pieces are found. They are very powerful, and the system only allows battles for a short period of time. If the player still cannot kill the boss at the end of the time, the level will be reset as well as the items and achievements at that level will be withdrawn.

On the other hand, Wario also has only a finite vitality bar and some heart points are provided by default. The life condition decreases with each damage done by the enemy, and the worst thing is about restarting the level when there’s no heart left to revive. Occasionally, some enemies will drop hearts, players can collect them to increase life points, or get more energy.
