The Soviet Union has taken over New York City! Chris Stone is just a plumber, and he was willing to live out the rest of his life typically, even after the occupation of their country, until the Soviets picked up his brother Troy and charged him with being a terrorist. At that point, Chris Stone became unwilling to live an everyday life (i.e., freedom fighter). Now it is Chris’s responsibility to contact the real freedom fighters, rescue his brother, and drive the invaders out of New York City.
A third-person shooter with squad-based tactics is featured in Freedom Fighters. Players have access to a wide variety of standard weapons, including pistols, revolvers, assault rifles, submachine guns, shotguns, rocket launchers, and grenades. As you progress through the game, you will unlock the ability to take control of additional squad members. Eventually, you will have up to a dozen different freedom fighters in your team, all of whom will be fighting alongside you in your mission to expel the invaders.
