Fox McCloud returns and is assigned a different mission than he is accustomed to. An evil army led by General Scales is destroying the world of Dinosaur Planet on the outskirts of the Lylat system, rendering all of its inhabitants helpless. Fox McCloud and his team must save the planet and destroy the evil army.
Star Fox Adventures differs from previous games in the series in that it is an action game with light puzzle-solving elements, similar to Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. You control Fox McCloud as he explores Dinosaur Planet, but you also prevent the female fox Krystal, whom McCloud must later rescue. Some missions require you to use your trusty Arwing craft, but most of the game is played on foot.
Your trusty sidekicks, Peppy, Slippy, and R.O.B. the Robot, will guide you and give you mission briefings throughout your adventure. Various weapons and magical items are available to help Fox throughout the game, ranging from blasters to grenades to magic staffs. You can also buy things with the game’s currency, “scarabs.” Throughout the game, you can participate in various mini-games in multiple stores.
