Bump ‘n’ Jump is a unique game in the shooting racing genre. The game was released on Nintendo in 1982 by Data East Corporation. The plot of the game is quite simple, players will play the role of a good racer. The problem occurred when a group of bad guys kidnapped his girlfriend. He immediately drove to the car chasing his girlfriend. During the journey, the character will be hindered by the abductor’s minions. He must find a way to avoid them all to rescue his girlfriend.
The game is divided into levels from easy to difficult. Each level will have a different context. Between the levels are gaps, the player will automatically jump over if he gets there. On the way, obstacles will appear continuously every half KM. Because the player’s visibility is very limited, the obstacles cannot be seen from afar, so a flashing exclamation mark will appear at the top of the screen to indicate a major obstacle. You can overcome the obstacles by jumping over it. In addition, you can accurately calculate to destroy enemy vehicles by doing the same on their heads. As later levels of the game, the track will have more obstacles and more enemy vehicles include cars, trucks, and tanks. While cars can be destroyed by pushing them into obstacles or jumping and destroying, trucks cannot be destroyed by collision. They can only be destroyed by jumping on them. Sometimes trucks will randomly drop a few items behind them. It could be an obstacle or a functional item that gives the character an extra life. Every time you defeat a vehicle, the player will be given a certain number of points corresponding to each type of vehicle, this does not apply to cars that explode when entering debris of other vehicles. This score will be accumulated at the end of each level.
There are a total of 3 chances to continue playing if the player is defeated. However, if you do not replenish when the vehicle runs out of materials, you will also lose the turn and have to start the level again. The fuel tanks with the P symbol are scattered on the road along with additional boxes of magic ingredients. Each box allows you to jump instantly. Try to get those boxes because the obstacles appear almost constantly, each jump will help you overcome countless them.
