Felix the Cat is an adventure game released by Hudson Soft in 1993. Felix’s girlfriend Kitty has an evil professor arrest. Facing that situation, Felix began the journey to find and destroy the professor and rescue his girlfriend.
Players will control the core of Felix, the protagonist of the game begins to search for enemies’ hiding places. To reach the professor’s base, he must pass 9 stages with many dangerous enemies. Some early stages of the game take place in the forests. Felix begins the first stage with the weapon as a gun mounted in a suitcase with the ability to attack enemies in close range. He will jump over obstacles and kill some enemies like tree logs and small monsters. By destroying them, he collects bottles of milk to gain an extra life. Felix shoots at the monster or jumps on their heads causing them to be destroyed. He’ll see cat head figures appearing a lot in the forest. Felix’s magical power is enhanced by collecting them. If he shifts to touch large trees or enemies, he will lose a life.
The terrain in the forest is very complex with Felix. He must use the springs available on the map to overcome the high terrain. At the end of the first stage, he will be moving on a tank with the ability to move on complex terrains. In the fifth stage, Felix must cross the terrain as a beach. Fish, jellyfish and birds are the new enemies that Felix must destroy. They often appear unexpectedly to attack him. This stage requires di Felix to move very flexibly to evade the attack from them. A dolphin will make his marine life simpler. It will shoot a sphere from its mouth to destroy enemies along the way.
During his journey, Felix will meet some secret paths. Upon entering that path, he collected many cat heads and bonuses. Before reaching the mysterious castle of the evil professor, Felix must dive into a river to find the entrance to the base. A turtle will take on the task of bringing him to the base as quickly as possible. Once found the entrance to the base, Felix will make the final battle with the professor and his accomplices. Kitty will be rescued after Felix destroys all enemies.
