Go! Dizzy Go!” is an arcade game which originated from the previous Dizzy title, “Kwik Snax”. Created by Philip and Andrew Oliver (Dizzy Enterprises) and published by Codemasters/Camerica for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), Sega Master System (as a ROM) and Sega Game Gear in November 1992. The NES version was released as part of the “Quattro Arcade” compilation. The Sega Game Gear version was released as part of “The Excellent Dizzy Collection” compilation. The Sega Mega Drive/Genesis version of “The Excellent Dizzy Collection” which included this game, was planned but never released. Most likely due to the Oliver Twins leaving Codemasters in 1994. The “Aladdin Deck Enhancer” port of this game was planned, but cancelled after Camerica went out of business. In October 2020, the NES version was re-released as part of a compilation called “The Oliver Twins Collection” for the Evercade. – More on the Evercade release Much like Kwik Snax, you weave around the stationary blocks and push the sliding ones into the approaching henchmen to get all the fruit. A special bonus score is given if you can collect the fruit in the flashing order. After every level is the slippery, slidey bonus section. When the player starts in a direction, they are unable to stop until they hit a stationary block. The player has to plan their move well, there are no enemies in the bonus section, but there is a time limit. But unlike Kwik Snax, Go! Dizzy Go! comes with a 2 player mode. Player 1 had control of Dizzy and Player 2 had control of Denzil (NES version only) or Daisy (Sega versions only).
