Jackie Chan’s Action Kung Fu is an action game developed by Now Production and released by Nintendo in 1990. The game inspired by the real character is Jackie Chan – a famous martial arts actor in Hong Kong. With the mission of saving his sister, the player will control Jackie Chan fighting against many enemies and countless other dangers. The game includes five maps, and at the end of each map, players will have to clash with a boss. You have to defeat this boss if you want to go to the next map. In each map, there will be many levels with increasing difficulty.
Players will encounter frogs throughout the game, which seems harmless to them. When killing this frog, it will drop the item is a bowl of rice. This item will restore the character’s HP. You will face many different enemies, including creatures such as tigers, birds, fish, bandits … Also, you will encounter many of the pre-arranged pitfalls on the way. If you let them touch you, then you will lose some HP depending on the strength of the enemy. And you can also lose the HP when being attacks by a bird, so be careful. However, you can destroy them using your character’s attacks. After defeating these creatures, they may drop blue spheres, and these orbs help Jackie Chan increase his strength when he attacks enemies. In a map, you will be able to use a particular skill to release a beam of light. When using this skill, all enemies in its path will be destroyed. You should use it appropriately to the most effective. When you accumulate all 30 blue orbs, you will have five more times to use this special skill. Accumulate lots of times using this unique skill; with this skill, you will defeat the boss at the end of each map more quickly.
If the character dies, all his orbs and powers will be lost, so do not let them die. You will return to the first place in the map where your character has died. Also, there will be facilities to help you move faster. To get to the next level, you must pass all maps of that level. However, there are some levels you must move up to complete the mission. After completing the task in each map, you will have 30 seconds to increase the amount of HP and the number of times you use your special skills by overcoming additional challenges.
