Qix is a puzzle game. It was released on a variety of systems in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Qix’s goal was to try to fill the ring with pieces created by controlling the connected arrow. a closed quadrilateral. Each level begins with a playground that is a large, empty rectangle. Inside it contains Qix: a stick that performs random movements within the limits of the rectangle. The bigger your box, the more points you’ll get. However, the bigger you try to draw the cells, the higher is the probability of Qix colliding with the arrow. If that happened, the game would be over.

At the beginning of the game, the player controls an arrow that can move around every position within the rectangle. Holding one of the draw buttons allows the arrow to mark the distance traveled within the territory of the rectangle. If the distance forms a closed shape, the interior area is highlighted in blue. During the move, the bugs will move randomly on the drawn lines. The game will also end if your arrow is hit by one of those bugs. The bugs are added after every certain period of time, the beetle timer appears displayed in the upper corner of the screen. To destroy them, you have to move the arrows cleverly so that they move inside of an area and then color the area. To complete each level, players need to color the playing field according to the requirements of each round (from 50% to 90%). With the scoring mechanism, every percentage colored or every bug killed adds a certain number of points. Alternatively, you can move the arrow at high speed to double the number of points. However, this will be a lot harder. One of the most important things is that when you press the draw button, it won’t stop until you get a complete shape. So, consider carefully before using any function.

As the levels progress, the difficulty increases in a number of ways, including a higher rate of coloring, a longer and faster Qix, and increased bug speed and appearance. In levels with lots of Qix, the player can also destroy like the way to kill bugs but it will be much harder because the Qix is moving randomly and continuously.
