Town & Country: Wood & Water Rage is a sports game released by LJN. The task of the player is to control his character using a skateboard to go to the required location. The game requires the precision and high reflexes of each player.
At the beginning of the game, the player will be given either one player or the two-player mode. Along with choosing the number of players, they will have to choose the terrain they want to join. There are three terrains they can move on, which are on the street, under the sea, and the terrain will eventually combine both of the original terrains. When players choose the terrain on the street, they will be taken to a place with many obstacles. The game will have no time limit to complete missions. The task of the player is to move flexibly to avoid obstacles appearing on the road. Several barrels of oil or wooden boxes will appear to block their way. They will have to move through vacant spots on the road to get past them. Sometimes, they have to move up on the railing to avoid the obstacles. In addition, they will have to avoid randomly appearing obstacles like volleyball and animals. Players must quickly move left or right to dodge them. If not overcome the obstacles, players will be flying off the skateboard and injured. However, they can restart their mission later.
Another terrain that also contains many dangers for players is the terrain on the sea. They will perform many different tricks to get a high score. But most will endanger them. Players may turn over their skis due to some error. Obstacles also appear frequently on the journey to their goal. Randomly placed wooden stakes can be unsafe for players. When losing control of the skateboard and falling into the water, players will be deducted points and have to repeat the game.
If players are familiar with the old terrain, they can choose the terrain combined on the road and under the water to try. In this mode, players will own a special skateboard with the ability to move both on land and underwater. The biggest difficulty for them is the connection between the two terrains. Ensuring balance will help players overcome obstacles to advance to the final goal.
