Soon after the team won the football tournament in the previous section, the main character’s school was attacked. Currently, they will have to try their best to adventure around Japan to gather the best team. These soccer players are not only athletes but also have special powers, able to defeat aliens who are threatening the world. Inazuma Eleven 2 has two different versions, Inazuma Eleven 2: Firestorm and Inazuma Eleven 2: Blizzard. In essence, they are identical in terms of play but added to the elements so that they become unique compare to each other.

The gameplay of the game is a combination of a soccer match and a battle between people with special powers. This harmony makes it unique when the power does not explode in the ring but through the ball. With a football field, all players will have to follow the standard rules of a football game. A team will consist of 14 players with 11 official players and three substitute players, arranged according to the squad. But in the game, they will be allowed to use attractive fighting skills to find ways to put the ball into the goal.
