Shaun White Snowboarding World Stage is the second game in the Shaun White Snowboarding series released by Ubisoft. This time, it is only available for the Wii.

Like the previous game’s Wii edition, it extensively uses the Wii Balance Board. Shaun White World Stage is also one of the original Wii Motion Plus games. When riding down the slopes, the controls are more precise. Another feature of the Wii Motion Plus is the ability to access a trick editing area where the player can design his stunts. The Wiimote is moved like a snowboard, and the rider mimics its movements. By triggering the one-shot tricks, these can be used on the slopes.

The game’s goal this year is to make it to the world stage. To accomplish so, the player must progress through the world rankings. The player’s crew begins with a world ranking of 100 and must climb to 10th place to gain entry to the world stage. The world stage comprises several events, and the player earns points for each. The ultimate goal is to win the international stage and become the best in the world.

All of the riders from the first game have returned, plus four new riders, including Shaun White, have been added for a total of 13 riders. As with last year’s title, the player selects a rider and a camera operator before going down a slope. The cameraman chosen among the riders has a unique skill that can be employed while riding.

Since the last game installment, other new features include leaderboards, achievements, rider customization, difficulty settings, and recent events. Each slope has a leaderboard for time and tricks scores, with Wii Balance Board and Wiimote scores separated. There are over 180 accomplishments. Riders can be personalized by altering their clothing and board. After finishing events, new equipment is rewarded. The player can also choose between standard and complex difficulties. The hard mode is challenging and is only available to those who have completed the first game. Knockout races, overtaking racing, checkpoint time attacks, checkpoint trick attacks, air trick attacks, rail trick attacks, colossal air, slopestyle, and free ride are among the new events.
