Samus Aran, a bounty hunter, was successful in her battle against Mother Brain, the commander of the Space Pirates, who intended to employ the extraterrestrial creatures known as Metroids to take over the Earth. After she fought Mother Brain, the bounty hunter Samus Aran took the fight to the Metroids’ homeland and wiped them all. There was only one Metroid larva left in the chamber. Samus transported it to a research facility in the galaxy, where the staff reassured her that the abilities possessed by the larva could be utilized to aid other people. However, things go wrong when a dragon attacks the research center, murders scientists, and steals the larva. Samus follows the dragon to the planet Zebes, the location of an earlier battle against Mother Brain. She must navigate the hazardous terrain of the planet, maintain her survival, and devise a strategy for obtaining the larva.

The action-adventure video game Super Metroid is the sequel to the platformer Metroid II. It is not broken up into several levels like the other games in the series; instead, the planet Zebes is an open environment that Samus travels about in both directions. This universe is made up of several chambers that are separated by doors that can only be unlocked by using a gun. Shooting can also open hidden tunnels, some leading to cool bonuses; however, locating most routes is necessary to advance through the game.

There are many things for Samus to find along the way, and each new item will typically let her enter locations previously unavailable to her. The goods include not just pieces of armament (such as missiles, super missiles, or upgrades to Samus’ ordinary laser rifle) but also energy tanks that enhance Samus’ maximum health, as well as various gadgets (such as a grappling hook that allows Samus to adhere to the ceiling).

Planet Zebes is home to various dangerous foes, which can be described as alien wildlife. After returning to a room, all the competitors will reappear, but Samus’ growing powers will make it simpler for her to prevail over them as the game progresses. When an enemy is defeated, they commonly leave behind some of their health or ammunition.
