Based on the popular television series, Alias allows players to assume the role of Sydney Bristow, a covert CIA agent. The game’s narrative pits the player against two of Bristow’s enemies from the original series as she travels from Saudi Arabia to Rio de Janeiro searching for “The Machine,” a mysterious device. The game was created with the show’s creators and features official costumes, character images, and voice acting.
Players can utilize either stealth or action to progress through the levels. With stealth, Bristow must follow walls and use the proper timing to sneak up on foes from behind and dispatch them. She utilizes various tools, such as thermal vision and micro cameras, to achieve this. She employs firearms found on defeated foes or in close-quarters combat for a more direct approach. Depending on the weapon Bristow uses, such as a knife, unarmed, or even a broom, the latter knows various combat styles. There are also simple obstacles to solve, such as unlocking doors or a hacking minigame. After a certain period, health automatically regenerates.
