Edward Carnby, the private investigator of the supernatural, has returned.
Charles Fiske, Carnby’s best friend, was discovered dead near Shadow Island, a mysterious island near Maine. You are responsible for participating in the inquiry and uncovering Shadow Island’s mysteries. But you won’t be heading there by yourself… the fiery-haired woman named Aline Cedric will be your traveling companion, and she brings her agenda with her. She is the only one who knows to translate the ancient Abkhani tabloids, which may hold the secrets of Carnby’s friend’s death and the disappearance of Aline’s father. Aside from the fact that she is a woman and inexperienced in the world of danger, she is the only person with this knowledge.
Upon arrival on the island, the mysterious beings have shot down your plane, and the heroes have no choice but to fall with a parachute, thus separating themselves on the island.
You can now choose which character you want to play, either Edward Carnby or Aline Cedrac, as they explore the dark and mysterious island with all of its secrets and parallel stories that contain different locations and tasks for other characters, thus adding the level of replayability in a different experience – Carnby’s story is more focused on action. In contrast, Cedrac’s story has more puzzles to figure out.
In a manner identical to the games that came before it, you will guide your characters through pre-rendered environments while shifting the camera’s perspective. You will need to acquire various objects and books to solve the riddles. As a result of the fact that many predicaments may be resolved only via the use of violence, you will be required to make use of firearms to eliminate your adversaries. Aiming is done manually, and ammo is hard to come by, especially when playing Cedric. When you save a game, you use up a save medallion, which is a collectible item that can be found throughout the game.
