Ace in Action is a shooter played from the third-person perspective. Fight through many missions on each of the four worlds (Pluto, Saturn, Mars, and the Moon) as you make your way through the game. One of the three main characters, Ace, Runt, or Abby, will perform each task. Ace’s missions will have him jogging around, Runt’s missions will have him in a tank, and Abby’s missions will have her in a hover ship. Each player character is equipped with a primary weapon with an endless supply of ammunition and a secondary weapon with a finite supply of ammo. The player can earn acorns, which serve as a form of currency, by damaging scenery, gathering goods, and achieving specific goals within a task, like completing it in the allotted time or finding all bonus objects hidden throughout the level. In the downtime between missions, you can spend them purchasing improvements for each character and unlocking multiplayer games, concept art, and music. It is possible to complete assignments more than once to obtain additional acorns.
