In Ford Racing 2, fans of the Ford brand and auto racing will have the opportunity to experience their wildest dreams come true.
You can drive anything from Mustangs and Thunderbirds to concept vehicles, stock cars, exotic sports and race cars, and even F-Series pickup trucks. You can select from one of 32 different models, including time-honored classics and cutting-edge supercars like the Ford GT (divided into the following categories in the game: Living Legends, Movie Stars, SVT, Concept, Off-Road, Custom, and Stock Car).
Road race tracks, off-road (over terrains such as desert and jungle), high-speed oval speedways, and race circuits are some venues included in the game’s 16 graphically featured locations. Many competitions, such as the Time Attack, the Elimination, the Racing Line, and the Driving Skills competitions, put your driving skills to the test.
You can choose how much control you desire when driving. Automatic transmission, anti-lock brakes, and traction control are all included as standard equipment. Choose the Advanced driving mode for greater control, with a manual transmission and additional customization options. You may get a feel for the game by participating in the “Quick Race” mode, which chooses a car and a course for you and lets you practice driving them. Next, select “Single Player” to compete against computer opponents or “Multi Player” to compete against a human friend in a head-to-head matchup. You can further personalize your experience by choosing the style of background music that plays in the background (rock, funk, etc.).
The viewpoint can be switched between the first and third person at any time. In the first-person view, the speedometer, tachometer, and rearview mirror are displayed on the screen. Additionally, a map on the left side of the screen shows your current location as well as the locations of any close competitors. The dashboards of classic cars may be easily distinguished from those of newer vehicles. Your lap timings, overall position, revolutions per minute (RPMs), and speed will be displayed, depending on whatever perspective you use.
