Like Twisted Metal: Black ONLINE, Hardware: Online Arena is a free-to-play, multiplayer online game focused on vehicle-on-vehicle warfare.
Before jumping into the middle of the action, players select their vehicle from a selection of tanks and jeeps. Jeeps have a speed advantage, but tanks have more excellent protection. Several items can be picked up, and weapons may be used, such as lasers, missiles, and even an air strike that will kill everyone in the level, including the player, if they do not take cover beforehand.
There are five distinct habitats: the Mayan Temple, the Arctic, the Quarry, and the Ruins. In addition, there are four different game styles, such as King of the Hill and Deathmatch. Even though this is primarily an online game, there is a training mode for a single player in which all of these stages can be played with any of the vehicles that are accessible.
