It’s been a while, Judge Dredd. The comic book character who serves as Judge, jury, and executioner makes yet another appearance in a video game in the form of a first-person shooter set in the 22nd century. This game takes place in a dystopian future where crime and pessimism are rife after a nuclear war.
The enormous and overpopulated Mega-City One serves as the grim background for Judge Dredd: Dredd Vs. Death players are tasked with upholding the law by whatever means necessary, regardless of the consequences. As players attempt to restore some form of order to a world gone mad, they face up against vampires, the undead, and even a group of Dark Judges. All of these foes are part of a world overrun by chaos. In keeping with the comic’s tone, some criminals responsible for less serious offenses need to be apprehended. In contrast, others must be eliminated with the utmost level of prejudice.
The final objective is to combat the infamous Judge Death, whose mission is to inflict as much havoc and devastation as humanly possible upon the besieged city.
