Karaoke Revolution allows PlayStation 2 users to demonstrate their vocal abilities and receive real-time performance feedback. It’s similar to, but instead of dancing, you sing.

The players use the Logitech PS2 Headset (or other certified PlayStation 2 USB microphone devices) to sing. The game grades the player based on their vocal pitch and timing. A visual indication displays the player’s current pitch in real-time and the rise of the original song’s vocals. If the song’s original notes are too high for the player’s vocal range, the game allows the player to sing at higher or lower octaves to strike the right notes.

If the player sings effectively, the audience joins the fun by clapping, cheering, and dancing. If the performance is poor, the audience will become bored, and the user will be booed off the stage.

The following single-player game modes are available:

Arcade Mode: In this mode, participants sing 3-5 songs while attempting to get the most points.
Showtime Mode: Players begin at a living room party and work up to a massive concert at the Enormobowl. A metro station, The Pit Stop, a county fair, the Superstar TV program, Club Avalanche, and a royal hall are among the other locations.
Karaoke Mode: Players can enjoy singing without worrying about being graded or scored.

Multi-player Game Mode includes the following features:

Arcade Mode: 2-8 players perform songs and compete for the highest score after each round. The winner is the one who wins the most games.
Karaoke Competition: Three to eight participants compete against one another. The critical difference between this mode and others is that each player judges the performance of the other players to determine who wins the Karaoke competition.
