You take on the role of Mace Griffin, a former space ranger who, after being falsely accused of a crime and sentenced to prison, decided to pursue a career as a bounty hunter to learn the truth about what happened.
The gameplay is a spin on a traditional first-person shooter format. You will occasionally get the opportunity to take control of various spacecraft and engage in intense dogfights. While in space, you may even park your ship and stroll inside it before continuing your mission. The transitions between the two aspects of the game are practically seamless, and while you are in space, you can almost do whatever you want.
