Another basketball video game that EA Sports released during the 2007-2008 season was called NBA Live 08. Quick Play, Season, and Playoffs are some game modes available in NBA Live 08, along with All-Star Weekend, FIBA World Championship, 1-on-1, and Practice. Other game modes include Dynasty, All-Star Weekend, and Practice. Marv Albert and Steve Kerr are in charge of providing commentary. “Go To Moves,” “Hot Spots,” “Quick Strike Ballhandling,” and “Own the Paint” are among the new features that can be found in NBA Live 08, along with other new additions. The game NBA Live 07 no longer includes the “Freestyle Superstars” and “X-Factor” modes that were previously included. Eight different national teams compete in the FIBA World Championship mode: Argentina, China, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Spain, and the United States of America.

The rosters in NBA Live 08 have been brought up to date for the 2007-2008 season. The vast majority of NBA players currently active in the league and participating in games during the 2007-2008 season may be found in NBA Live 08. All of the current superstars of the NBA are participating in the game, including names like LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Kevin Garnett, Chris Paul, Yao Ming, and Tim Duncan. In addition to the several game styles, there is now play that may be done online.

The Slam-Dunk Contest, the 3-Point Shootout, the Rookie vs. Sophomore game, and the All-Star game are all included in the All-Star Weekend mode. The primary mode of the game, which is called Dynasty mode, lasts for thirty years. The Dynasty mode is similar to the Season mode, except, after each season, you can scout players, sign coaches and free agents, pick rookies, and undertake other activities.
