Compared to earlier iterations of the game, the NBA Simulator 2003 has much-enhanced visuals, and it also includes new elements, such as a player creation engine and detailed player faces. In addition to that, it has rosters that are current with the 2002-2003 season.
The game has a frame rate of sixty frames per second, various passing techniques and blocks, and more than thirty new rebounding animations; all developed using motion capture sessions.
As is customary, the game features full support for multiplayer play and a comprehensive fantasy draft.
