The NBA Live Basketball series’ 2005 edition contains a new graphics engine, maneuvers, and trademark movements to personalize the players. Another addition is Freestyle Air, which gives players more control in the air and allows you to choose from ten freestyle setups. You can grow your club across numerous seasons. More management is introduced in the Dynasty Mode via rookie scouting and a calendar to highlight all the significant events. The management system is based on dynasty points. As you advance, you gain points for training sessions, new equipment, or sending out scouts worldwide.
Aside from the standard game modes, events like an NBA all-star weekend with a Slam Dunk contest, a Rookie/Sophomore game, and a 3-Point shootout are available. You can also travel freely throughout North America. The game is faster than in 2004, and the game strategies have been balanced by focusing more on the mid-range jumper.
