The Quarterback Club series has reached its eighth installment with this book. This edition of the game includes all the teams and players currently ranked in the NFL. Additionally, it allows the player to unlock great quarterbacks like John Elway, Dan Marino, and Steve Young. Commentary is provided by both Kevin Harlan and Bill Maas.
The game has four different primary game modes, which are referred to as the regular season, an exhibition, the playoffs, and the pro bowl. The quarterback challenge mode is another feature found in QB Club 2002. This mode allows the user to put their favorite NFL quarterbacks through a battle focusing on four skill sets: speed and mobility, accuracy throw, read and recognition, and long-distance throw.
