The Codemaster’s touring car racing series gets an expansion in the form of a storyline and a career mode with the release of Race Driver. You are Ryan McKane, the younger brother of a very successful racer and the son of a driver killed in a racing accident. Help Ryan reach the pinnacle of the closed-wheel racing scene.
There is a diverse collection of automobiles and racing championships featured. You can compete in races with a Mercedes DTM silhouette car, a BTCC Peugeot, Australia’s V8 Supercars, and other vehicles. Realistic circuits are included; however, many need to be unlocked first. The game features a real physics engine, and players may choose from various camera perspectives.
Additional tracks are included in the Director’s Cut edition, and some of the championships have been updated.
