You play as the eight characters from the original Resident Evil: Outbreak in new scenarios set in the ruins of what was once Raccoon City. In single-player mode, you choose a character to play and two others to accompany you.
The new Resident Evil game has various new situations and new gameplay developments for the Resident Evil series. Loading times have been shortened, and while the previous Outbreak was available online in the United States, this is the first Resident Evil game to be available online in Europe.
This game’s locations are familiar (The Raccoon Police Department) and exotic (A mutant jungle at mid-day). The game has many unlockable content, including artwork, notes, trivia, and character outfits. The game is backward compatible with your Resident Evil: Outbreak save file so that you can transfer your unlocked content to this new scenario.
