Like its predecessors, the romance of the Three Kingdoms VII is a grand strategy game set during China’s Three Kingdoms period. The game features a variety of scenarios based on historical events from the late second and third centuries AD, beginning with the fall of the Han Dynasty. China is divided into various nations, and the leaders of each want to conquer the others to become the ruler of the Middle Kingdom.
The seventh game in the series introduces new features such as 3D visuals and the opportunity to play as any of the prominent historical figures. Like the previous ones, the game concentrates on controlling a nation, managing its economy, diplomacy, and military strategy and preparation. When one country invades another, turn-based tactical warfare occurs.
