Electronic Arts has just launched its seventh version of its popular rugby simulation game, Rugby 08, which is also the official game of the 2007 IRB Rugby World Cup. It includes 23 national teams, some of whom do not have competitive licenses, and the fully licensed Super 14, the Guinness Premiership (England), the Celtic League, and unlicensed teams from France and Italy. It includes the Junior All Blacks, the Australian A’s, and unlicensed groups from the Pacific Islanders and Barbarians, in addition to a dozen different stadiums.

The Rugby World Cup, Practice, and several national and international events, such as the 6 Nations, are all playable modes in this video game. The World League, the Tri-Nations, the Super 14, the Guinness Premiership, and the European Trophy, as well as the World League, in which the player assumes complete control of a team in the third division and works his way up to the top division, all the while earning enough transfer points on the field to keep wages in check and get new signings. There is also a new game mode that has been added, and in it, the player must rewrite history from previous world cups to earn highlight films from each world cup and other goodies.

Other additions include increased artificial intelligence, new set pieces, faster-defending formations, and more flexible camera control. The player will also be able to kick the ball with greater accuracy and respond more swiftly after a scrum or lineout. You may also anticipate the return of the Impact Players, such as Dan Carter’s ability to pinpoint a punt practically the whole length of the field and Bryan Habana’s ability to tear defenses apart with his pace.

Bands like Malajube, Howling Bells, and Tokyo Police Club are responsible for providing the soundtrack for this game.
