The gang is at it again! This time, it is up to Mystery Inc. to thwart a nefarious business magnate who has employed a tool known as the Tome of Doom and let loose monsters from another dimension to divert attention away from the true nature of the situation. Before it’s too late, they have to retrieve the Tome and send the monsters back to where they came from.
The player assumes control of Shaggy and Scooby, and they can switch between the two at any time. Each character has unique skills that may be used to lure monsters into traps, capture them, and fool them into thinking they are someone else. The gameplay primarily comprises puzzle-solving (i.e., placing objects into certain spots to open doors), and players can explore a laboratory, a bayou, a Wild West, and a movie set.
The genuine voice actors from the Scooby-Doo cartoons appear in this collection, including artwork and stills from the episodes.
