The Japanese survival horror video game Siren takes place in a sleepy little hamlet where most inhabitants have been slaughtered.
A siren sounds in the distance, turning the residents of the Japanese town of Hanuda into exhibitors, who are zombies intent on turning everyone else into Shibito.
The player controls one of ten characters throughout the game as they attempt to evade the exhibitor. It’s like a puzzle. Because of their maximum deficient health, all the characters need the player to master the shishitos patterns and develop strategies to avoid being discovered. In addition, the player can see characters, including Shibito, to explore the world from their perspective.
