You assume control of one of ten different fighters from the Spectral Force series and the Generation of Chaos series in the versus fighting game Spectral VS Generation, which is presented in a two-dimensional (2D) format. It would appear that the reason for all of the fighting is to settle the question of who will lay claim to the powers of the legendary Earth temple.
Ice witch Mayura, War gale Weles, Empress of darkness Roze, Northern knight Eril, Sword master Kryce, Aristocrat of Darkness Jado, Holy fist Ryuken, Explosion child Hiro, Wyvern of the East Drochimaru, and Holy god earth are the available fighters from which to choose. Holy god earth is also an option. Each combatant utilizes their own unique arsenal of weapons and fighting styles, which may include a variety of special attacks; the bouts are to the best of three rounds. The game provides a variety of modes for single players, including an Arcade mode, a Training mode, and a Survival mode, in addition to a VS mode for multiplayer play.
