The racing video game Speed Kings is played in an arcade-like format. The race takes place across 22 distinct levels, during which the player must avoid getting hit by vehicles driven by civilians and compete against five computer-controlled opponents. There are six different game types, including single race, time attack, trick attack, head to head, grand prix, meets, and tag (which is only available for multiplayer), and there are 22 motorcycles that are not licensed but are modeled after their real-world counterparts. As they make their way through the game, players will gain respect points, allowing them to unlock different bikes.
During the race, the participant is required to build up the powerband meter to conduct nitro boosts. This can be accomplished by slamming the sides of incoming vehicles, performing tricks like wheelies, handstands, massive leaps, sliding underneath 18-wheelers, or jumping over significant obstacles. It’s also possible to engage in Road Rash-style combat with other riders.
