Sub Rebellion is a mission-based submarine shooter in which the user is tasked with defending the last vestiges of the free world. The story unfolds fifteen years after a cataclysmic event that causes planet-wide earthquakes that obliterate most human civilization. The remnants of humanity now reside in the ocean depths, where an evil military-industrial complex seeks complete control.
The player is entrusted with guiding the Chronos, the Alliance’s newest submarine, through a series of missions beginning with its maiden voyage. While most of the game takes place underwater, sea-level combat also includes several monster battles.
Combat-critical maneuvers, such as the submarine’s ability to swiftly ascend or descend, are governed by its complex controls. The Chronos employs a variety of weapons and equipment, including cannons, torpedoes, and special weapons, which can be upgraded by accomplishing missions and gathering artifacts.
