In his sleep, Darwin’s monkey had a nightmare about a meteoroid hurtling toward Earth and wiping out all life. It was only he who could put a stop to it, but not in his current state. Darwin and his people needed to explore the outside world and advance to ensure the survival of their tribe.
The player has direct control of Darwin throughout the game, but they can also issue commands to Darwin’s immediate followers. These followers can be instructed to fight animals, carry things, or execute chores such as building ramps and bridges in response to commands. They are discovering new goods while adventuring can improve Darwin’s statistics and boost the number of followers he can bring. Items can also be brought back to Darwin’s village to enhance and increase the services offered there. For example, healing can be done in the mess hall, and extra followers can be recruited at the bar.
