Based on the Nickelodeon Special of the same name, The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius – Attack of the Twonkies is an action-adventure video game.
The first thing that happens in the game is Jimmy showing off one of his new creations to all of his classmates. Suddenly, Principal Willoughby enters the room and announces that children from the Lindbergh school have been asked to sing at the inauguration ceremony of the brand-new stadium in town. Jimmy is going to his lab to make preparations for going to see a comet while the rest of the class is busy getting ready for the auditions that will be held for the opening. When Jimmy returns to his ship after investigating the comet, he discovers an extraterrestrial monster attempting to destroy his vessel. Jimmy narrowly escapes and returns to Earth, where he is on the verge of relating the story to Carl and Sheen when Carl discovers a small critter hidden within the mineral samples Jimmy brought back from the comet. The creature swiftly mutates into a monstrous shape and begins to reproduce itself. The hard part comes: capturing the monsters before they take over the town.
You take on the role of Jimmy in this video game. Your mission is to stop the invasion of naughty aliens using a collection of ingenious gadgets you rig together from various household items and components you find along the way. In Jimmy’s journey to bring peace and tranquility to mother earth, he finds himself in strange environments, including intergalactic travel, wacky laboratories, and bizarre planetscapes. In the game, your primary objective is to recapture the runaway Twinkies while also solving puzzles, amassing hints, working together with a wide variety of Jimmy Universe characters, and, of course, relying on the dependable assistance of Goddard.
