MI2 is the second installment in the “Maximum Impact” 3D King of Fighters games series. It takes place in the same setting as the last KOF team fighting games but adds a new twist by employing a polygonal engine.
There are 38 playable characters, each with aa distinct story mode and hundreds of costumes. All characters from the first Metal Gear Solid game return, joined by four newcomers and fourteen mystery guest stars.
This time around, the plot revolves around the appearance of the malicious Jivatma in South Town, which is the location where all of the heroes meet up for their reasons. Changes to the gameplay include the ability to sidestep and super cancel several moves; different backgrounds and bonus features can be unlocked after finishing the story mode, the mission mode, and time attack tasks, respectively.
