A remixed version of the King of Fighters ’98 video game, with rebalanced gameplay, an “Ultimate” combat mode, an unlockable art gallery, and 64 playable fighters, ten of whom were not present in the original King of Fighters game. In addition, the game’s initial Neo Geo release is provided. In addition to that, 480p resolution is now supported by the game.
Five game modes are available, including Arcade, Single Play (no team), Endless (endurance trial), Practice, and Challenge mode. Among the available customization options is the capability to make character sprites larger, to soften the pixie to varying degrees (which minimizes blockiness), and to flip between a 3D and a 2D background. The Ultimate fighting mode allows you to switch between three different fighting styles: Dash and Step are the types of moves, whereas Avoiding and Urgent are the types of evasion.
