The Operative: No One Lives Forever for PlayStation 2 includes all of the content that was included in the Windows version (except the mission that was exclusive to the GotY Edition), in addition to a special episode called “Nine Years Ago…” that follows Cate Archer in her earlier years as a cat burglar, just before UNITY discovered her. Scenes from the mission are not played one after another but are interspersed with scenes from other tasks. In addition to that, they come with two unique devices.
The music score composed by Guy Whitmore for the first release of the game has been replaced in the PlayStation 2 version by a soundtrack written by Rebecca Kneubuhl and mixed by Gabriel Mann. This game version does not include a mode for playing with other people.
