Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground is the sequel to Tony Hawk’s Project 8. It allows players to take their path through the story by allowing them to skate in three cities: Washington, D.C., Baltimore, and Philadelphia.
Riggers, Hardcore, Career Skaters, and Street Skaters are the four categories of skaters, and their interactions with one another shape the course of the game. In addition to that, it comes with a revamped version of the Nail-the-Trick system, which includes new maneuvers such as Bowl Carving, Aggro Push, Skate Checking, Climbing/Exploration, Environment Altering, and Rig-a-Kit.
During the game, the player can receive guidance from real-life professional skaters to assist in developing their custom-made skaters, as well as the opportunity to learn new skating maneuvers and tricks and the capability to design their own skate park.
The game’s Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions feature online multiplayer, while the PlayStation 2 and Wii editions do not. Despite this, they both feature the same main story. However, the gameplay on the PlayStation 2 with its analog controller is very different from that on the Wii, which uses the remote and the Nunchuk during specific motions to accomplish various feats. Additionally, the characters in each of these renditions are unique.
