The next installment of the rally racing series features more drivers, cars, and tracks than its predecessors.
The user can select from severalferent game types, such as rally racing in the V-Rally style, time runs in the Time Attack style, or time-limited challenge runs in the Challenge Mode. The latter two game modes are also available for up to four players to simultaneously take turns in multiplayer mode. The primary objective, however, is to emerge victorious over each competitor on the rally circuit and claim the champion title. More vehicles and racetracks will become available to players as they improve their skills and progress further in the game. The game has 80 different drivers, including six actual rally drivers, 48 tracks spread over six nations, and 20 other cars for players to compete against and unlock. There are two championships to compete for: the 1.6-liter title for two-wheel drive and the 2-liter title for the four-wheel campaign.
The race may be viewed from inside the car or behind it as the player attempts to become the best rally racer on the globe. Players can observe the race from inside or behind the vehicle as they scream through snow, rain, fog, dirt, gravel, and overjumps at different times of the day and night.
