The World Tour Soccer 2005 video game, Football 2004 in the United Kingdom, is the latest entry in the World Tour Soccer series. Over 900 international teams compete in it, and over 18000 individual players compete for them throughout 30 different categories and 22 different leagues. Classic units are also available for selection, such as the Barcelona team from the 1990s, the Milan team from the 1980s, and the Liverpool team from the 1970s.
In addition to competing in the World Cup and the Euro Cup, there are four game modes: Exhibition, Season, Career, and Challenge. The game has improved graphics, a modernized trade system, a rethought control mechanism (compared to other entries in the series), and modernized stadiums.
