The title of the game does a great job of conveying that the notoriously argumentative Worms are now wriggling in full 3D for the first time. The game’s purpose has not altered from that of its predecessors; it is still to crush, annihilate, and put into oblivion the worm team of the enemy employing enormously crazy weapons of destruction. The game retains nearly all of the characteristics of its 2D forebears, including randomized gusts of wind and an environment that can be destroyed.
Worms 3D comes with a unique collection of new weaponry such as the Lottery Strike and the Gas Grenade, enabling you to find a few dozen new methods to kill your fellow worms online. However, not all previously available weapons have made the cut into the three-dimensional arena.
