Yugi Muto and Seto Kaiba are the protagonists of the Yu-Gi-Oh! manga and card game series, assume the identities of Henry Tudor, the head of the Lancaster house (Red Rose, later the Tudor dynasty), and Christian Rosenkreutz, the leader of the Yorkist faction (White Rose), respectively, in Yu-Gi-Oh! The Duelists of the Roses is loosely based on historical events in England in the 15th century. The player assumes control of a Rose Duelist and is initially tasked by Henry Tudor (Yugi) and the Lancastrians to dismantle a barrier erected by the White Rose soldiers at Stonehenge. The player does this by controlling a Rose Duelist. On the other hand, Rosenkreuz, played by Seto, appears and makes an offer to the hero to join his side, the Yorkists. From that point forward, the player can follow either the White Rose or the Red Rose, each leading to a unique set of events.
This is a strategy card game, just like most other Yu-Gi-Oh! video game adaptations. The game’s battles are fought on a 7×7 table, and each player is in charge of a “Deck Leader.” This character represents the player character’s hit point and the central square on the map around which cards can be put. Monsters can be moved across the board in any direction, with the objective being to encircle and eliminate the opponent’s Deck Leader as quickly as possible. There are also a variety of field bonuses and card fusions available to use.
